Add some sparkle to Hanukkah this season with a homemade menorah.
Menorah How-To
For the base, you'll need a piece of wood cut to about 8 by 1 5/8 by 3/4 inches and, for the candleholders, ten 1/4-inch nuts.
1. Using wood glue, attach 10 nuts to the wooden base: a stack of 2 in the middle, with 4 on each side. Let dry.
2. Brush all but the underside of the base with clear-drying white glue. Sprinkle with glitter; let dry. To add colored details, use a tooth-pick to dot the edges of base with glue, and sprinkle with a contrasting color of glitter.

We found that 3/8 inch nuts worked better with our Chanukah candles, and we increased the wood length to 9 1/2 inches as a result. We'd recommend taking and testing a candle when you buy supplies. Otherwise, really fun craft, especially for kids' menorahs.
This is a nice-looking craft. For Hosannah, it seems that all the directions are posted. I think they placed it in a silver tray for photo purposes but you could use any safe base to put it in. I think I may try this craft.
