  • Scissors

  • Craft glue

  • Party toothpicks

  • Glue stick

  • Ribbon

  • 67-pound white paper stock

  • Small beads

  1. Reproduce templates on a color photocopier, scan them into your computer, or download them from the Web; print them with a color ink-jet printer using 67- pound white paper stock.

  2. FOR A BANNER: Cut out one of the strips, and fold in half vertically. Apply craft glue to top third of a party toothpick, slip it into the fold so that it sticks out slightly at the top, and hold in place until dry. Adhere banner halves together with a glue stick.

  3. FOR A MEDALLION: Cut out two circles. Place one facedown; use glue stick to affix a toothpick along circle’s diameter so that toothpick’s tip juts just be- yond circle’s edge. Attach a short length of folded ribbon at the bottom. Affix other circle faceup. Apply a dot of craft glue to the top of your flagpole; slip a small bead over the end.
