Golden Passionflower-Vine Tabletop

Created By: Portrait by Matthew Hranek, Photographs by Simon Brown

Introduction

With a nod to chinoiserie furniture, passionflower vines, pressed and sprayed gold, top a Shaker tray table painted a high-gloss royal blue. (This spray technique is worth trying if any plants discolor when pressed.)

The naturalistic presentation -- tendrils and all -- is protected by a Plexiglas oval cut to the dimensions of the tabletop.
