With a few bags of cotton balls you can blanket a tree with the softest snow.

Four Homemade Trees: Cotton Balls

  • Needle

  • Fishing line

  • Cotton balls

  • White glue

  • Sieve

  • Cornstarch

  • Batting


  1. Thread a needle with fifteen inches of fishing line.

  2. Sew through two or three cotton balls, leaving gaps between. Dab white glue next to each so it won't slide.

  3. Make loop for hanging.

  4. Use a sieve to add a dusting of cornstarch over the branches.

  5. Cut batting for a skirt.
