Grateful Spread: Rustic Place Card

Introduction

The Thanksgiving table should reflect the relaxed elegance of the meal: It's draped in a semolina-yellow linen, and rustic place cards -- wedged into slits cut into wine corks -- make guests feel welcome right off the bat. Click here for the place-card template.

For the entire menu from Scott and Heather Fratangelo's Thanksgiving menu, see the Grateful Spread.

You could adjust the ink on your printer and print on sheet to use as you template. The cut out on the colored paper of your choice and cut out the white area using white paper. Use double sided tape. Let the kids cut out and tape together. Or you could go to microsoft website clipart and find something similar that can be size adjusted. Just a thought. It's a cool idea.

WOW, that takes a LOT of ink. I am just going to do my own thing..... like enlarging the template and using a crayon to trace it from the monitor. Or just use a white or colored square on top of black or another color paper. I mean poster board is only .50 cents at the Dollor Tree Store.

It would be very nice to be able to print these in different colors to match our theme -- especially rustic reds, oranges, golds, etc.

I love the black and yellow table setting complimented with these cards. So warm and elegant. The cork card holders are cute too!
