A wreath of puffy white pom-poms, reminiscent of snowballs, will last the entire winter season. Because it is made from just a few materials and has a simple color scheme, any child age 6 or older can make one with great success, or even a dozen to give as holiday gifts.

Wreath How-To
1. Use an 8- or 10-inch-diameter round of white cardboard or a heavy paper plate as the wreath's base. Place a coffee-can lid in the center of the base; trace around it. An adult should cut out the hole with a utility knife.

2. With a low-temperature hot-glue gun (or white glue, which takes longer to dry), attach about twenty-four 2-inch and fifteen 1-inch pompoms to the ring, alternating sizes as you go. Fill in the spaces with ten or so 1/2-inch pom-poms. Apply beads of glue to the stems of twelve white fabric leaves; tuck them behind the pom-poms. Loop a 24-inch length of thick grosgrain ribbon through the ring, and tie ends in a bow. Hang from a nail or hook.
