Envelope Bunnies

One great way to say happy Easter is with paper-envelope rabbits -- bearing treats, of course.

  1. Step 1

Seal the flap of an envelope, and draw bunny ears on the sealed side, as shown below. You can draw your own or use our bunny ear template.

  2. Step 2

Cut along the line through both layers of the envelope.

  3. Step 3

Flip the envelope over; what was the side of the envelope becomes the bottom of your treat holder.

  4. Step 4

Cut pink construction paper to make eyes and insides of ears, and glue them on the front of the envelope. Use colored pencil for mouth; glue on a pom-pom nose. Fill with yummy Easter sweets.

The directions should say to use legal size envelopes, the long ones not the little square ones :) it took some thinking and reading the intructions more than once to understand them. I leran better by seeing as well ;)

I would love to make this craft but I just cannot get a visual from the directions. Looks like a diagram was left off? I don't craft much so details would have been good here :-)

It doesn't say what size envelope to use...that would help...anyone know?

I saved a step by printing the ears directly onto the envelope.

This is a great idea for a Craft Club or Card Club to do for a local Head Start or Ped. Wing at your local hospital.
