Square acrylic organizers give ties and belts their own homes. Underneath, blue acid-free mat board lines the drawer for extra color. Additional trays are cushioned with coordinating felt to protect the jewelry inside.

I have two white plastic rolling storage containers (several drawers in each). The height is a perfect fit under the "blouse section" of my closet, they are easy to roll out to dust under, they keep the contents dust-free, they hold many accessories, and could be used for shoes, socks, handbags, manicure and pedicure supplies, extras of kleenix, personal hygeine items, jewelry, etc. I just love my little old closet!

we keep low dressers in the closet to free up bedroom floor space and hang shirts and blouses over them on the rods so that space isn't wasted.

it's super easy to put a chest of drawers in your closet - Ikea has them for $49.00.

Is Martha talking about having a drawer in your closet? Most of us don't have them in ours....

They have boxes like this at the dollar store. The boxes hook together along one edge. They are 3 for a....... dollar! I think it's Dollar Tree Stores. Hope it helps.

I love this idea but I agree, where do you find something like this. I would love to do this for my husband and all his messy ties etc. But I have never seen an organizer like that. Does anyone know where to get one?

Clear plastic storage boxes are for sale all over the internet and if you aren't in a hurry, there's flea markets and garage sales where you can pick up odd pieces. Matte board scraps can often be purchased for cheap at framing stores and craft stores. Full size matte board sheets are big: 30" x 40" or so. Felt comes in different quality-crafting square beings the cheapest, but fabric stores often have garment qualityfelt as well as crafting felt.
