Clever Home Offices

An office fulfills a number of roles: It's a place to coordinate schedules, a repository for all your receipts, and even a creative refuge. Despite its ability to satisfy countless needs, a workstation doesn't have to occupy a tremendous amount of space, much less an entire room. The innovative solutions on these pages show how a small, out-of-the-way, or underutilized spot in your home can be transformed into an office setting that's practical as well as pleasing. You'll find that you're a whirlwind of efficiency when you need to be, but are still able to put work out of sight -- and out of mind.

Funny thing is I moved on the day that this was posted, and was unsure where I was to put my little desk/secretary. My hallway is painted the exact same shade of green, and my desk fits perfectly in the little nitch similar to this one. Perfect timing.
