Extend the season for garden edgers by stringing them with lights to accentuate their curves and then lining a walkway with them for a welcoming look. First measure the distance you would like to light. Then gather a sufficient number of garden edgers.

Tools and Materials
Black all-weather electrical tape
Scissors
Steel garden edgers
100-bulb strands of green wire mini lights (Note: It's easier to cut electrical tape than to rip it.)

Edgers How-To
1. Tightly tape garden edgers together, end to end.

2. Choose which design element on edger you would like to light. (Lighting the entire design may be visually confusing; it's best to focus on a single motif throughout.) Attach at first light of 1 strand to 1 end of the edgers. Plan to end with the plug closest to your electrical source. Position each individual light to point up or down, depending on the design, and secure each light to edger with small pieces of tape on both sides. If the design features any points, attach a light to each apex.

3. To install, sink edger legs into soil or snow.
