Create giant gothic lanterns using nothing more than our instructions, clip-art designs, and simple supplies. This project is almost as easy as saying "abracadabra."

Love this craft and it turned out great. I put pipe cleaners in an 'x' shape in the base and put my battery operated tea light there. I made my own shape for the lantern but used the snake clipart - hope it's okay to post the link here. http://motleycrafts.com/?p=4

Great suggestions on the poster board, Sara! I'm trying this one, too... we'll be hanging clip on LED lights inside, for that extra spooky flare!! Can't wait! Martha, I hope you don't mind if I blog our progress over at www.recessionhome.com ... since, I'm following all of your new ideas, after all!

This project is super easy! It takes a little time to cut out the lantern but it is worth the effort! Looks great in person! I used poster board from Staples, and it was black on one side and orange on the other. Cheap and great project!
