Hanging Snake and Frog Vellum Lanterns Email Print Create giant gothic lanterns using nothing more than our instructions, clip-art designs, and simple supplies. This project is almost as easy as saying "abracadabra." Martha Stewart Living, October 2009 Reviews (3) Add a Comment MotleyCrafts 18 Oct, 2011 Love this craft and it turned out great. I put pipe cleaners in an 'x' shape in the base and put my battery operated tea light there. I made my own shape for the lantern but used the snake clipart - hope it's okay to post the link here. http://motleycrafts.com/?p=4 ashleyludwig 12 Oct, 2011 Great suggestions on the poster board, Sara! I'm trying this one, too... we'll be hanging clip on LED lights inside, for that extra spooky flare!! Can't wait! Martha, I hope you don't mind if I blog our progress over at www.recessionhome.com ... since, I'm following all of your new ideas, after all! saradono 8 Oct, 2010 This project is super easy! It takes a little time to cut out the lantern but it is worth the effort! Looks great in person! I used poster board from Staples, and it was black on one side and orange on the other. Cheap and great project!
