This painting technique will work for all types of vessels, including flea-market finds and items available at crafts stores.

For best results, choose a primer designed for the material you will be using; for example, a metal primer for brass candlesticks.

Cups and Candlesticks How-To

1. Working on a covered surface, coat each julep cup and candlestick with white primer spray paint. Let dry according to directions. Add a second coat if needed.

2.Coat items with fluorescent-yellow spray paint. Let dry according to directions. Add a second coat if needed.

    And flourescent paint glows in the dark? Or do you use a black light?
