Storing Birdseed

It's very important to make sure your bird feed is stored properly to ensure that it's fresh and nutritious for your feathered friends.

Storing Birdseed Tips
1. Store seeds in secure containers (such as metal cans) to prevent squirrels and mice from getting to it.

2. Keep containers in a cool, dry place. Overheating of feed can destroy its nutrients and taste.

3. Damp seeds can grow mold. If you see mold on feed, discard it, because it can make birds sick.

4. Store unused suet in the freezer so it doesn't turn rancid.
