Caulking a Window How-To

To caulk your own windows -- a good way to seal and weatherproof, as well as to cover any cracks or gaps the window may have -- simply follow these instructions from Dave White, senior manager of business television at Home Depot.
Make sure surface is clean.
Cut off the tip of the caulk and puncture the seal.
Load tube into the caulking gun.
Apply caulk on the window.
Smooth the caulk using finger.
