The Martha Stewart Show, February 2008

This did not work, even though my templates all came out perfectly......I watched the video and read the directions numerous times.....the "heart" doesn't even come close to showing the bodies, which, are lined up with the fold. They need to be lined up with the fold so they "pop up" , but the "heart" is in the middle of the card. How in the world did y'all get yours to work???
It ended up really cute, but had a couple issues I didn't forsee. I wrote inside in marker so it was thick lettering, and put it in the normal place (top of right side). You could see it through the heart window. Also you could see the profile of my head behind his head. His head would have to be quite a bit bigger to get rid of this problem...then your heads would look weird together because they'd be different sizes. If you didn't have the heart cutout or it was smaller it would be perfect.
I hate working with messy glue, so instead, I always use double sided tape or those little sticky 'glue' rollers, that makes it easy to apply double sided glue dots. It's quick
I'm using this for a bridal card.
This is very cute, original and unique!
You really need to watch the video for the instructions to make sense.
I just made this card and it came out beautifully however, I would not try to stick the heads on until after the card has been put together, otherwise it gets confusing. I also used rubber cement glue to make the process faster. Very cute!
Where is the template for this card? I really want to make it !!
SUCH A CUTE IDEA!! im going to make one right now <3

I remember a pop up card in an old issue of Martha Stewart...it had a baby's picture and when you opened it, it looked like the baby was crawling out at you....would anyone happen to know which issue it is in???
I tried this and it came even better than the one here.I used blue stock paper for the boy and decorated the front of the card too. neat idea..
made this for my boyfriend this vday...so easy to make and it turned out great...he thought it was pretty creative...i put some other personal touches besides the pictures of our faces...thanx!...
Thank You...You Guys Are Wonderful!
I loved this pattern, it was so easy. It made a great card!!!
Thanks Martha!

for some reason I cant download the templates. Ahhh and today is v-day
It was so much fun making the pop-up valentine for my husband of 42 years last night while he was at a ballgame. The instructions and the templates make it so easy to print out and make. The instructions are so well written, that I did not really need the video! I had already seen the segment on your show, so it was fresh in my mind. I agree with LuvMaerz....we want more pop-ups!
I made one for my husband for V-day and it also turned out great! I loved that I had all the supplies on hand, and it is much more personal and inexpensive than going out and getting a $5 card. Can't wait to see what he thinks! I, too, watched the video while I put it together, which really helped. Please, Martha, we want more pop-up card templates!!
I completed my card yesterday! It was extremely easy (w/ the video) to assemble and it turned out great! Thanks :)
My cards came out soooo cute, I can't stop making them!
Sure would love to have more of these Pop Up designs.
Another great pop up card. Thanks! Sure would be great to have an Easter pop up...hint, hint.
A video sure would be helpful.
So easy to do IF you follow the instructions. Mine turned out adorable! Love it.
thanks!
I printed the templates, followed the printed instructions to make the card and had no problem. For those having problems printing the templates...I had to go into my printer's properties and change the layout to print 'landscape' and the whole template printed along with instructions.
I would not recommend this. the instructions are far too unclear. I wasted a lot of time and paper trying this.

I missed show and didn't see final product. It sounded cute so I tried it, thinking it would be fun to put my kid's pics in for the Grandmas. Mine didn't turn out great - it doesn't "pop" - I think instructions need a little editing. A link to a finished picture would be helpful.
I enjoy wacthing Martha;s show today and since I teach infants and toddlers, I'll be looking forward to dot his craft with them thano you Martha may you can doa show on saint patrics day as well for op up cards that would be fun :0)
If your template isn't printing properly, make sure you have "shrink to printable area" or "fit to printable area" selected if you're printing from Adobe Acrobat. I'm excited to try this out... A few weeks ago I decided I wanted to make a popup card for my boyfriend for Valentines Day, and I knew I wanted to have us kiss when the card was opened. This makes it so much easier for me. Otherwise I'd have had to figure it out on my own. Thanks, Martha!
I SURE WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE WHOLE CARD PUT TOGETHER IN ONE OF THESE PICTURES. WHERE CAN I GO TO VIEW IT?
I downloaded the templates and made one immediately. It was easy and such a cute and crafty idea. I love making things personal like this and I think my husband is really going to enjoy it. Thanks for making me look like I know what I'm doing.
This will make my grandcaughters day when I get them to make this for their Mom and Dad. I can hear them giggle now at the thought of Mom and Dad kissing. Thank you for the lovely idea.
I followed the instructions and also watched the show on making the pop up valentine, but I am disapointed through many trys that when the card is opened the girl does not pop up she just stays bent forward.
I downloaded all three templates - I had No problems. Thank you for this cute idea, I will make a card for my son and NEW daughter-in-law.
Thanks for making me look clever!
I am makig this card for my husband and to show off to my friends. I didn't have any problems downloading the templates.
I too cannot get the templets
Thanks
Joyce
When i clicked on the Template 3 under the Pop-Up Valentine How-To it did print!
I love this idea and I am going to try it. This my first VAlentine's day as a married women and I want to make something special for my husband!! I hope it is as easy as it looks.
The lighter text color or the bodies and template will not show up for me once printed. The black text is fine. Thank you.
Template 3 will not load at all. Thanks!
When I went to download the Pop-up Valentine Templates, all the instructions on page 1 do not print out. Please advise on how to correct this. Thanks.
