Compiling family recipes on beautifully printed cards is a wonderful way to save and share delicious memories with your family. Here are a few tips for preserving your family recipes.
First, you'll want to document and organize your recipes. When cooking with family members, record ingredient amounts and recipe processes. When writing your recipes, list the ingredients in the order that you use them.
Include details such as serving amounts, pan sizes, and cooking times. Be sure to proofread for error. Take photographs of your finished dish. Then, scan your original recipes into the computer, and save any information and stories behind their creation along with them.
To store hard copies of your recipes, allocate a storage box and keep everything together, including your original recipe cards.
