Make a special breakfast in a snap with a do-it-yourself mix. Just combine dry ingredients for pancakes or muffins, transfer to a Ziploc bag, and write the recipe on the front with permanent marker. Store in a cool, dry place.

If you have enough room, you can also store in canning jars (similar to the popular "cookies-in-a-jar") so the containers can be reused.
This also works great with pumpkin that you collect in the fall. Steam and mash. Then put two cup portions in freezer bags. Write pumpking pie recipe on bag then freeze. Makes making a pie later in the year a snap. Also makes great hostess gifts. Pumpkin pie tastes so much better with fresh not canned pumpkin!
