Pinecone Tree Stand

Unpainted pinecones also make a decorative camouflage for the base of a Christmas tree, and blend in especially well with a "live" tree, hiding the roots while they insulate and keep them moist.
Materials
- Pinecones
- Silver floral spray or spray paint
- 2-inch wide masking tape
- Large circular tray
Steps

Step 1 of 4
In a well-ventilated area, coat dried pinecones with silver floral spray or silver spray paint. Let dry.

Step 2 of 4
Using 2-inch-wide masking tape, tape around the tree stand to create a pyramid, leaving an opening for watering the tree.

Step 3 of 4
Place tree stand on top of a large circular tray.

Step 4 of 4
Arrange pinecones in a mound around the taped tree stand and on the tray.
