materials

  • Paper plate

  • Reflective paint

  • Construction paper

  • Battery-operated LED lights

  • Black paper bag

  • Craft glue

steps

  1. Make bats out of construction paper (click here for a template). Create eyes with a 1/8-inch hole punch or nail, first in bats then in plate.

  2. Affix bats to plate with craft glue. Stick bulbs from battery-operated LED lights through each eye.

  3. Near the bottom of a black paper bag, cut a hole for battery pack to slide through. Place battery in bag. Attach plate to bag over hole with craft glue.
