Tree-Bark Pen Holder

Glass or ceramic containers get a rustic makeover when wrapped with tree bark, which can be found in the woods as well as ordered online.

  • Sturdy cylindrical container
  • Tree bark
  • Scissors
  • Wax twine

  1. Step 1

Choose a container that matches the height of the bark.

  2. Step 2

Wrap the piece of bark around the container. For a more finished look, trim the bottom of the bark with scissors to make an even line.

  3. Step 3

Secure bark by wrapping wax twine several times around the container. Knot and snip the ends of the twine.

If you want to get a more "up close and personal" look at these woodsy containers, just click on "View" on the top tool bar of your screen and then select "Zoom" and increse the size on your screen. I increased my computer to 400 and really got a good picture of the bark covered cans.

I can think of so many uses for a rustic woodsy look for everyday or holiday. WOW! Bath accessories, flameless candles, fall marshmallow/cookout party favors, etc.
