Handmade Valentine Cards

Remember when you were a child in grade school, making your first Valentine's Day card for a classmate? You really wanted it to be special. Using the same basic cut-and-paste techniques, you or your children can create really beautiful cards for friends, family, and a special someone.

Materials

  • Various paper
  • Card kit
  • Scissors or utility knife
  • Paper edgers, optional
  • Paper punches, optional
  • Rubber cement or glue stick
  • Pen

Steps

  1. Step 1

Cut out photograph and clip art images with small scissors or a utility knife. You can add a decorative touch to paper and card stock with these paper edgers and paper punches.

  2. Step 2

    Lay out your design first.

  3. Step 3

Then, use rubber cement or a glue stick to glue everything to a card. Let dry.

  4. Step 4

Be sure to include a Valentine's Day message. You can print this out on the computer and glue to the card, or handwrite it.
