Embellish a cloth diaper with colorful ribbon to create an adorable -- and practical -- present for a new mom.

Tools and Materials

• Baby burp cloth or cloth diaper
• Ribbon
• Sewing machine
• Machine-sewing thread to match ribbon (threaded for top stitch)
• White bobbin thread (threaded in bobbin)

Decorative Burp Cloth How-To
1. Pin ribbon along edge of cloth, or along seam down center of cloth. Tuck raw edges of ribbon under, and pin in place.

2. Sew ribbon to cloth with a straight stitch along all sides of ribbon.

3. Repeat steps to create more cloths, if desired. Iron, fold, and stack cloths; present tied with a bow as a gift.
