Valentine Treat Box

Thank you for such a lovely idea! The template turned out very useful. I made ultra-cute boxes for my son's class for Mother's day.

ps:I pasted the template onto a powerpoint slide. Then I duplicated the same slide and rotated the template vertically by 180 degrees. On this duplicate slide, I masked the scouring lines using white coloured text boxes and added texts like "Happy Mother's day" "I love you Mom!" etc. I then took print out of these two slides onto two sides of coloured chart paper.

Martha...you have no idea how happy I was to have the template for this treat box...I made them right away...and after having made 44 of them, they were an instant hit here at our Embassy (USEmbassy Caracas)...I sold many of them and this afternoon the rest will be picked up. They came out soooo cute. Thanks again.

Make the Jewel Heart Cookie, I used one of the Wilton Heart cutters (they are pink plastic and come in 6 sizes from Michael's) one is a perfect size that will slip into the Valentine Treat Box from the same day show. I just cut the box out of scrapbook heart paper (no card stock), and glued only the bottom. Fold the sides inside the heart box. Slip in the Jewel Heart Cookie (w/ plain rasberry jam) that has been wrapped in celephane. Use ribbon to tie the top. It makes a great gift.

Could anyone tell me how to make those heart window decorations(in the video)?? i really like them!!

I run an afterschool program and I did this project with my kids today they loved it! It was simple for each of the kids, even the 5 year olds. Since I was planning to this with a large groupwe just used colored cardstock and decorated the boxes with Valentine's stickers, it worked great and even the parents were impressed with how adorable they turned out.

I did this project with my 7 year old for school. Didnt have much money so
I improvised and used construction paper, glue stick and cheap valentines wrapping paper. They turned out great and my girl cant wait to take them to school!! If you're on a budget this works great and I spent less than 1 dollars!!!

After watching Martha make the cute Valentine treat box I couldn't wait to make it. When I try to print the template it reads this file is damaged and could not be repaired. I do hope that it is soon fixed so I can make these darling boxes as gifts. Thank you. mlhowell

Just printed the template and will fill these with handmande chocolates. What a great project.

These are very easy to make! What a cute way to wrap a little Valentine's Day treat.

FYI - I printed the template directly onto plain card stock in various shades of pink and red, and quickly completed 6 of these boxes. (The scoring lines are visible on the inside of the box, but don't look bad.) My version is simpler than Martha's, but look very nice with the patterned ribbons I used.

At first I thought the crease in the middle wasn't necessary, but discovered it helps give it more room. I also just used a colored card stock and didn't need the adhesive machine and extra paper. I would love to check out some decorative card stock as that would be lovely, no need to buy an adhesive machine though!

I thought the same thing, didn't understand the crease down the middle. I great and easy little box to make.
