Embellish a solid-colored shirt with bright butterflies in flight -- and conceal stains at the same time. Have your child choose the fabric; iron it to one side of fusible webbing. Trace our butterfly template onto the fusible-webbing side, and cut out. Remove paper backing, and iron the shape on top of the stain. Use several sizes and vary fabrics for a decorative effect or to cover multiple stains.
Variation
If your child is more of a fish fan than a butterfly buff, use our fish template instead, as seen on "The Martha Stewart Show."
You can also purchase packets of die cut butterflies or dinosaurs or leaves of scotty dogs from quilting suppliers.
This is a verycute idea! It's also so practical ......covering up a stain on an otherwise perfect item.

I find images I like using clip art and microsoft word. Just enlarge the image to whatever size you want, print it, and cut it out. Works like a charm!
It looks like you can also use this idea for big kid's clothes! Also for teens, you can just use it on clothes from last year or to jazz up not so fashionable clothes! great idea!

I just like the idea of covering the stains. It's so disappointing when the kids have cute outfits but one little stain and it's ruined. this way it's a new outfit.
You will find the template in the body of the text of the instructions. It is a light blue color. I downloaded and it came through just fine. I save all templates directly to my computer, use them when I need and save the expense of paper/ink.
You can use stickers as tempates they work very well.
I don't see the butterfly template listed. Any ideas?
