Project

Tissue-Paper-Decorated Eggs

Perched on baking-cup pedestals, these plain blown eggs were decorated with cutouts from folded pastel tissue paper.

Materials

  • Tissue paper
  • Paint brush
  • Craft glue

Steps

  1. Step 1

With a hole punch and small, sharp scissors, cut simple shapes out of accordion-folded tissue; dots and teardrops combine well to make flowers.

  2. Step 2

With a small paintbrush, apply craft glue to the egg. Using fingers, press on the cutouts; wipe away excess glue.

Wonderful Easter eggs. I want to know how to make the bases for them. Thank you for all your great ideas.

VERY cute eggs! How do you get those cupcake papers to stand up like that?

When the eggs are dyed you can lightly spray it with a sealant ....then apply the tissue paper cut outs, or stickers and so on... In the end i apply a few coats of modpodge..... Then I have the egg for last for years. Makes a great gift as well.
