Button Gift Wrap

Introduction

This button-stamped gift wrap is fun to make. Affix button to a cork with double-sided tape. Place plain paper on a piece of felt or a folded piece of fabric (this cushions the paper so the mark will be even). Top with a pretty button tied on with baker's twine.

    common sense doesn't tell all..
I tried this and the paint was gloppy and only one out of five stamps was "buttony".
Did they use an ink pad for this?
    Help!

    Common sense tells all......

The directions for this are sorely lacking... "afix button to a cork" ... Why? How? What then? Any particular kind of paint? I am assuming this is for making prints ... but it would be much more helpful to me if a few more details were included!

I love this idea, In the colors of your tree it can become very personal=)

affix button to cork so you can hold onto the button, put wrapping paper(plain paper)over felt or a folded piece of fabric so the mark will be even, because unlike regular stamps, buttons aren't flat. I may be wrong but that is how I interpreted the directions

Affix button to cork, then what? Is this meant to be a kind of rubber stamp craft? More detail please.
