Punched-Snowflake Photo Cards and Gift Tags
- Punch Around the Page snowflake corner and edge punches, by Martha Stewart Crafts
- Card stock
- Double-sided tape
- Craft knife
- Screw punch
- Baker's twine or ribbon
For a rectangular card, trim a piece of card stock to 3 1/4-inches-by-5-inches. For a square card, trim to 3 1/4-inches-by-3 1/4-inches. Punch the corners using the snowflake corner punch; with the edge punch, connect the pattern from corner to corner using the guides on the tool's wings. Glue or tape a sized photo to the punched piece.
For the card background, cut and score a piece of card stock to fit the piece from step one, and corner punch and edge punch as desired. (Edge and corner combination-punched cards like the square one shown must follow the recommended dimensions: 3 1/4 inches, 5 inches, 6 3/4 inches, 8 1/2 inches, etc. See punch insert for instructions.)
Center the piece from step one on top of the card. Screw punch two small holes into both pieces of the card as shown, either through the snowflake shapes or above and below the design. Thread ribbon or baker's twine through both pieces and tie into a bow on the front to secure.
Glue on scrap snowflakes on front of card as desired.
For the gift tag: simply corner punch snowflakes into a rectangular piece of card stock and thread baker's twine through one of the cut shapes.
