Project

Ribbon Shoelaces

Introduction

Make a pair of baby shoes more fun to wear by replacing the laces with colorful ribbon. Grosgrain ribbon, available in an array of colors and patterns, is sturdy enough to withstand being tied and untied again and again.

Materials

  • Grosgrain ribbon
  • Scissors

Steps

  1. Step 1

Remove shoelaces, and cut two ribbons the same length as the laces, plus two inches. Thread ribbon through shoe holes, center, then trim diagonally any edges that have frayed.
