Give any Christmas tree a heavenly touch with this lovely angel topper, a perfect Handmade Holiday gift for someone special.

Tools and Materials
Wrapping paper
Double-sided tape
Card stock
Large Dresden wings
Hot-glue gun and glue sticks
5-inch, 4-inch, and 2 1/2-inch spun-glass halos
Dresden halo ("Oval Nimbus")
Die-cut angel
Craft knife
Dresden medallions

To create the cloud, we used polyester craft batting. For the ornament, we used a 4-inch spun-glass halo, monofilament (fishing line), and a Radiant Starburst Dresden.

Angel Tree Topper How-To
1. Roll a 4-inch-wide strip of wrapping paper into a tube and secure with double-sided tape. Make the diameter of the tube as large as needed to fit the top of your tree.

2. Attach two large wings to a 5-by-1-inch strip of card stock with hot glue. Glue the center of the back of the strip to the rolled paper tube, about an inch from the bottom.

3. Place wings and tube face down. Glue a 5-inch spun-glass halo to the back of the tube, about 1/2 inch from the top. Set this piece aside.

4. Attach a 4-inch spun glass halo to a 2 1/2-inch spun-glass halo with hot glue, lining up the centers. Glue a Dresden halo to the center of the other side of the 4-inch halo.

5. Glue the group of three halos onto the front of the rolled paper, between the wings and about an inch from the top, with the Dresden halo facing out.

6. Remove wings from die-cut angel with a craft knife. Attach a Dresden medallion to the base of the neck with hot glue. Glue the angel head to the group of halos at front of tube.

7. Create a cloud at the top of the tree with polyester craft batting. Place the topper above the batting on the tree.

Ornament How-To
Tie monofilament to the middle of a spun-glass halo of any size. Attach Dresden to the front of the disc with hot glue.
