Pecan Pie with Lorraine and Jane

Although the pecan has been part of the American diet for centuries, it has only been used in pies since around 1925. Pecan pie's status as a new entity in the world of desserts hasn't done any harm to its reputation, however, and many consider it to be an unofficial national dessert. Today, Martha is joined by her friends Jane Heller and actor Lorraine Bracco to assemble this version of the sweet, rich dessert.

Great pecan pie. One of the few that are not cloyingly sweet. It is a regular on my Thanksgiving dessert table, and always gets rave reviews from those who taste it. Thanks for a great recipe!
