Introduction
You could employ the "antique" or "sepia" function to make the photo appear aged, or use the following technique, as we did, for a more authentic look: Using a photo-editing program, adjust the picture's color levels by decreasing the saturation and increasing the amount of yellow. Save and close the picture file.
Steps

Step 1 of 10
Create a new document. If your photograph is horizontal, your document should be 8 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches long. If your photograph is vertical, your document should be 11 inches wide by 8 1/2 inches long.

Choose a color for your card's background.

Draw a box where your picture will sit; the size of the box will vary depending on how big you want your picture and how thick you want your borders.

Import the photo file.

If desired, draw two or three thin-sided rectangles around the photo to create a decorative frame.

Print document.

Fold the card in half, using a ruler and a bone folder to score the card and create a perfect crease.

With a utility knife, trim edges to desired dimensions. (Our finished cards are 5 1/4 by 7 1/8 inches.)

Working in sections, use a fine-tip brush to apply white glue to an area of the card. If there is snow in your picture, you might glitter those areas. If not, you could glitter spots where snow might fall, such as tree branches.

Step 10 of 10
Place on a paper plate; sprinkle with glitter. Shake to remove excess glitter. Let dry.
