This is a beautiful and easy winter-inspired craft.
Tools and Materials
12 plastic six-pack holders
Invisible tape
Fishing line
Scissors
3M Super 77 spray adhesive
Coarse Crystal glitter
Six-Pack Snowflake How-To
1. Fold the plastic six-pack holders in half, lengthwise. Tape the top and bottom sections together in the center of the outer edges of the rings. Repeat with the 11 remaining six-pack holders.
2. Tape the 12 prepared six-pack holders together, side-by-side, at the edges of the middle rings.
3. Run about 1 foot of fishing line through all of the bottom rings, cinch them tightly, and knot. Trim excess fishing line. Connect the final outer edge with tape, completing the snowflake shape
4. Optional: Alter the shape of every other holder with scissors to create unique designs.
5. Spray the snowflake with 3M Super 77 spray adhesive in a well-ventilated area. Coat both sides with Coarse Crystal glitter.
6. Shake off excess glitter and hang snowflake with fishing line.

We can no longer get these six pack rings here in Australia so if I want them I am going to have to buy them off ebay from the US. They look great though!
I don't think the idea is to purchase these plastic rings but to save and reuse the ones you already have. As friends or the freecycle.org community site.
I found pictures for the lady that was asking about pictures. Is there a craft store that I can buy the six pack holders rather than drinking lots of beer or pop lol? This craft is so beautiful. I would love to have several to hang from my ceiling..
I have gotten spray adhesive at Home Depot. You could as so spray paint, maybe sliver or gold and then glitter before it dries.

I tuned in late. Martha was using a hair drier on the plastic rings. Could someone tell me what that was for? There is no mention of a hairdrier in the directions.
I couldn't believe my eyes on today's show when I saw the snowflakes. I have made this kind of snowflake for years, but have never glittered them. I will in the future. I have one suggestion in making them. I just staple them together. It is easy for young hands to manipulate and eliminates the tape and fishing line. I do use fishing line for hanging. Also if you staple it will make it easy for future storage in a basement or attic.
