Guests will go nuts over these cute critters. Squirrels perched atop logs filled with foil-wrapped chocolate chestnuts, hazelnuts, and walnuts make sweet seasonal tokens. Put one at each setting at the Thanksgiving table. If you'd like, you can write guests' names on the logs before assembling them so the favors can double as place cards.
Tools and Materials
Template
Heavyweight matte paper
Scissors
Bone folder
Glue stick
Utility knife
A straightedge
Double-sided tape
Squirrel Favor How-To
1. Color-photocopy the template at 130 percent onto paper.
2. Roughly cut around squirrel images. Fold along dotted line with bone folder; glue wrong sides together. Carefully cut out image.
3. Cut out log. With a utility knife and a straightedge, make slits along solid lines. Fold dotted lines with bone folder.
4. Insert base of squirrel into large slit; secure with tape on the underside of the log.
5. Roll paper to form log, and insert tabs into the two small slits; secure with glue. Fold one log end and tabs; glue tabs to the inside of log. Fill with treats. Repeat to close the other end.

Please help! Where can I find the foil-wrapped chocolate nuts? I tried the suggestions that others made with no success. Surely they were found somewhere, or they would not have been included in this craft.
My PC does not support the file for this template. What download would I need, please : )

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions where to get the chocolate balls with the foil that looks like nuts? I'm having trouble locating them.
I plan to use this for our church ladies group fall dinner. They are really cute and so easy to make especially with the template. Thanks.
I made these for Thanksgiving with the family and they went over very well. I think most of the candy was eaten before dinner even got started. And I loved how easy they were to make.

I've been looking for this and lost it due to my ineptitude. I hate squirrels and love Martha so happy i can freak the family out at the next gathering. Plus they're beautiful!
this is a really lovely gift!!
These .pdf images do not print if you use Firefox - you have to open Internet Explorer.
What size paper do you need to enlarge to 130% ?
LOVE IT very cute!
If your copier doesn't offer the option of selecting your enlargement ratio, you won't be able to exactly match 130% enlargement. Still, 125% seems pretty close for the purpose of this project. If you can locate a copier that offers a 110% enlargement option, you can enlarge the image three times to achieve 130%.
How do you set the printer to 130% mine only has 125 and 150 as an option
