What To Do
Place loose mushrooms, unwashed and uncut, in a paper bag; fold over the top, and place on a refrigerator shelf (not in the crisper). Refrigerate pre-packaged mushrooms in their original container and wrapping until opened. Mushrooms taste best when used within a few days of purchase.
