Glitter Silhouettes How-To
1. Paint frame with glue a section at a time and sprinkle with Onyx glitter. Shake off excess glitter and allow to dry.
2. Cut a piece of thin posterboard to the same dimensions as the backboard of the frame. Prepare the posterboard by running it through a Xyron machine fitted with a double-sided adhesive cartridge, or by using double-sided mounting film. Remove protective sheet and spread glitter over sticky surface. Shake off excess glitter.
3. Print witch, jack-o'-lantern, skull, spider, or owl template on cardstock and cut out silhouette. Prepare and glitter the silhouette as you did the background.
4. Lay the background piece face down within the frame. Secure back onto frame and flip over. With a hot-glue gun, glue glittered silhouette to center of glittered background.

The Martha Stewart Show, October 2008

You could also do it as a project to hang in a little girl's room, using silhouettes of dresses, shoes and pocketbooks. Or theme specific like ballerinas, butterflies, kittens, or even a cute way/different way to show off a girl's sports interests. Or for a baby's room using baby animals; or common baby items like bottles, pacifiers, bibs and diaper pins.
This is one of those projects that I LOVE...the kind that get your mind racing with ideas!!!

I saw this on the show and it was so easy! You could do the same thing in an autumn theme, and then a Christmas theme, and just change them out seasonally.
