Smooth Sailing

Building a sailboat is a breeze with just a handful of supplies.

  • Decorative paper
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • Straw
  • Play dough
  • Coffee can lid

  1. Step 1

Cut decorative paper into a right triangle, with the bottom shorter than the vertical edge.

  2. Step 2

Punch three holes along vertical edge. Weave a drinking straw through the holes.

  3. Step 3

Lodge the end of the straw into a ball of play dough, and affix the sail to the top side of a coffee-can lid.
