Martha's Must-Haves: Murray's Cheese

The Martha Stewart Show, January 2009

Since 1940, Murray's Cheese has been slicing up farmstead, clothbound, stinky, runny, artisanal, handmade, local, organic, and, of course, perfectly ripe cheese.

The details:
Martha likes Bijou (goat) cheese from the Vermont Butter and Cheese Company, available from Murray's Cheese. It was given to our studio audience along with cheese papers. Bijou would make a wonderful addition to a cheese plate, and we use it to make Watercress Salad with Persimmons and Hazelnuts.

Amazing cheese! Try slicing it and placing on a crostini, toasting under broiler and drizzling with artisan honey. This makes a great topper for a spring salad.
