Decorative Jam Labels

Made from scratch with the season's ripe harvest, jam seems to capture the very essence of summer. Dressed in pretty stickers, jars of homemade preserves make delicious gifts long after the weather turns cool.

Introduction

These simple labels are decorated with colorful peaches and apricots, cherry blossoms, and berries that hint at the flavors inside. A calligraphed inscription adds an elegant finishing touch. Don't forget to fill them with a delicious jam.

Materials

  • Labels
  • Self-adhesive paper
  • Scissors
  • Pen
  • Jam jars

Steps

  1. Step 1

Download and print labels on self-adhesive paper (fit six onto each sheet); cut them out, and note jar contents.

  2. Step 2

Peel off stickers; center on cooled jars. For a breakfast gift pack, use a berry carton to hold homemade jam and scones.

Thank you Martha, I love your labels. I was thinking you could just just them to label boxes, or anything else, just to make them look Summerlike and pretty.

Hey Martha, How about some veggie labels for those of us who make pickles, etc. to give as gifts.

I make strawberry jam every year and I'm excited to use these labels, but my question is, does anyone know how I can print a full sheet of just the strawberry labels?

Berries in my local store do not come in the cardboard containers. Is there anywhere to buy some online?

I need a general fruit and veg label that fits several catagories: chutnies, jams, pickles, tomatoes sauces etc...........
