Only brave party guests dare disturb the tasty contents of these graves. The candy-filled headstones are mini black paper bags placed in a tray filled with black sand; for the harrowing how-to, see below. Beside the graveyard, candles float in "blood," made by tinting water with red and blue food coloring.
Download templates and cut out, or draw your own. Trace top edge underneath the opening of a 2 3/4-by-5 1/2-inch black paper bag, available at crafts stores; cut out. Stamp message in white ink on bag. Fill with candy; seal with a glue stick.

I'm making these as we speak for our neighborhood halloween festival for kids to take home after the festivities. I'm using grey bags, and taking a sponge and blotting them with dark grey/black paint for a more stone-like finish, and some green accents with the sponge for a mossy look. :) Tons of fun. You have to make these.
Really, these are very easy and quick to make. Great for co-workers, party event, friends that come by or you go and visit. We used several different messages (ie; roommate wanted, bored to death, i see dead people, darrell b moore, estelle hertz, etc)...
