Painted Sneakers

Give sneakers a one-of-a-kind look with this charming craft.




  • Newspaper
  • Clean canvas sneakers
  • Fabric or acrylic craft paint
  • Artist paintbrushes
  • Fabric paint pens


  1. Step 1

    Cover a work surface with newspaper.

  2. Step 2

    Using fabric paints and paint pens, decorate sneakers.

  3. Step 3

    Let paint dry for 24 hours before painting another shade on top of the original color.

    It is not a good idea to put child's name on these sneakers, for safety reasons

    Super idea for those white shoes that look a little tired. Putting chids name or initials would make a hit too. I have a pair myself and plan to make them my garden shoes so here goes with flowers and cute sayings. Even stamps will work.
