  1. Sea-Glass Bracelet

    Glass and ceramic are used to make this ocean-blue-green bracelet. You'll need sea glass pieces of the same size and color for this project.

    Bracelet How-To
    1. Apply a dot of cement glue to each disk on a disk-and-loop bracelet form (available at jewelry-supply stores). 

    2. Adhere glass to disks, and let dry overnight.

  2. Cracked Paper Eggshell Dishes

    The "cracked" tops of papier-mache eggshells with pink, gold, and white linings become dishes for foil-wrapped chocolates and candy eggs. For the nest, decorative paper is cut with fringe scissors.

  3. Scalloped Bouquet Wrapper

    There's a simple way to replace the standard wrapping from a florist with something prettier and more personal -- always a nice touch when giving someone flowers. Cut a length of white parchment paper so it's large enough to wrap around the arrangement. Using scallop scissors, trim along all sides. Lay flowers on a diagonal at one corner of the parchment. Wrap the paper around the blooms. Cut a length of ribbon, and tie it around the bundle to secure.

  4. Pinecone-Embellished Gift Tags

    Add extra charm to your holiday packaging with a little help from the great outdoors. Simply attach tiny pinecones -- pristine or spruced up with metallic floral spray -- to store-bought tags and cards using glue. The pattern can be anything from a mini wreath to a pretty cluster. For the pine-needle tree, use a fine paintbrush to coat the needles with craft glue; then place them carefully with tweezers.

  5. Heart-Shaped African Violets

    All it takes to propagate African violets is a large healthy leaf, cut in half. To turn the leaf into a pretty gift, snip it into the shape of a heart. Using clean, sharp scissors, remove a leaf with 1 inch of stem from a plant, and shape the leaf. Fill a small pot with fresh potting soil, and poke a hole in the soil with a pencil. Insert 3/4 inch of stem, pack soil firmly around it, and water well. (While rooting, the leaf should be covered with a glass jar or a plastic bag and removed from bright light to keep it moist.) A new plantlet should emerge in 6 to 8 weeks.

    Shell Salt Cellar

    Salt and seashells are a match made in the ocean. To make this pretty dish, press the shell edges into a gold stamp pad, and then fill the shell with sea salt. Here, we used black-lip oyster shells; you should clean them, of course, before using. Polished black-lip oyster, Conch King.
