Pink Party Decorations

The invitation for this pink fete is a chain of paper dolls dressed up in scraps of patterned paper; our no-sew garland is made from fabric remnants.

  • For the Paper-Doll Invitation:Patterned paper scraps
  • Paper-doll invitation template
  • Construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • For the Garland:Fabric remnants
  • Fabric scissors
  • Single-fold bias tape
  • Fusible tape
  • Iron

  1. Step 1

Print template. Accordion-fold 12-by-18-inch piece of construction paper so layers are as wide as template.

  2. Step 2

Lay template on top (dotted lines on folds); cut out on solid lines.

  3. Step 3

Use template to cut clothing from patterned paper (or photocopy fabric); affix with glue stick.

  4. Step 4

Our no-sew garland is made from fabric remnants: Cut into shapes shown above.

  5. Step 5

Open single-fold bias tape; center fusible tape inside. Place fabric so tops align with crease. Fold bias tape over, and iron.

Nice ideas. These ideas are great for Pinkalicious and Barbie parties.

To see the pictures larger, I click 'print' and then copy the page to a Word document. Then, by clicking inside the picture, I get an outline with small circles in the corners. By clicking and holding down the left-hand mouse button on one of those circles, I can pull the dot outside the frame to make the picture bigger or inside to make it smaller. Sometimes the picture gets fuzzy if you make it too big but it usually works.

I totally agree. While the site is full of wonderful ideas and recipes, the tiny pics provided make it almost impossible to see any detail. Please MS staff, help us out here! Maybe it would be better gotten across if we sent emails to the "contact us" link at the bottom of these pages, friends.
