Introduction

These clever little sacks are easy to make and perform double duty, holding a small gift for each of the 24 days of Advent and trimming the tree.

Materials

  • Grosgrain or satin ribbon
  • Sewing machine
  • Pinking shears
  • Candy or small toys
  • Marker or rubber stamp
  • Cord

Steps

  1. Step 1

Cut wide grosgrain or satin ribbon into 8- or 10-inch lengths. Fold in half. Sew up the sides on a machine; trim the tops with pinking shears.

  2. Step 2

Slip candy or small toys inside. Mark the dates on tags with a marker or rubber stamp; thread cord through tags, and tie on bags to close. Hang bags or tuck safely between branches.
