Kids undecorate this tree! The ornaments are gifts in ribbon pouches, one to open each da starting December 1. To make ornaments, cut wide grosgrain or satin ribbon into 8- or 10-inch lengths. Fold in half. Sew up the sides on a machine; trim the tops with pinking shears. Slip candy or small toys inside. Mark the dates on tags with a marker or rubber stamp; thread cord through tags, and tie on bags to close. Hang bags or tuck safely between branches.
