Fourth of July Clip-Art Streamers

A medallion-centered pendant tops off a trio of honeycomb garlands.
Martha Stewart Living, July 2010

A medallion-centered pendant tops off a trio of honeycomb garlands. Hang the pendant and garlands separately for the best effect.

Tools and Materials

  • Monofilament
  • Honeycomb tissue garlands, from Party Cheap
  • Scissors

How-To
1. Make a pendant with a medallion (see the how-to and clip art for the Tissue Fan Fireworks with Clip-Art Medallions); this is a full-size fan, so do not trim. Punch a hole in fan's cardboard edges, near the center at back. Tie to tree with monofilament.

2. Cut 3 equal lengths of honeycomb garlands: 2 red and 1 white. Thread a length of monofilament through the top of each (first red, then white, then red again); secure it around tree under pendant's bottom edge.
