Tools and Materials
12-by-12-inch scrapbooking paper
Scissors
Tape
Snowman, ice skater, snowball, or forest template
Glue stick
Glitter
Glue pen or white glittering glue
Scrapbook Paper Landscape How-To
1. Create a 12-by-12-inch background by overlapping two smaller pieces of scrapbooking paper. One piece will represent the ground, the other the sky; the overlap should be 3 to 4 inches from the top or bottom of the page, depending on the design. Tape pieces of paper together on the backside.
2. Enlarge and print template. Roughly cut out template pieces, and use a glue stick to attach each to the backside of different patterns of scrapbook paper. Cut out shapes precisely along lines.
3. Attach pieces to background with a glue stick to create landscape.
4. Glitter details on landscape with a glue pen or white glue.

Since March is rapidly approaching, I thought I'd squeeze in a quick winter craft before my thoughts begin to turn to spring. I chose to make the scrapbook paper landscape winter scene with a sweet silhouette of a young girl skating on a pond using templates provided. It was a quick and easy project. What a GREAT idea. I love it!
RESIZING PROBLEMS:
When you use the drop box, you are only resizing the view on your *screen*. To resize for print, you have to resize through the print menu in Adobe or else it will print out 100% on the paper.
I tried to enlarge the template by clicking on the drop down box and I selected 150% then ok to print, and it came out the same size?? I saw the enlargement, but it didnt print out that way. Could it be the printer?? Thanks

To enlarge the templates, look at the top of the template page where the percentage box is. Click the drop-down box and select the amount of enlargement you want or type it in.
toybox...to get the templates, just click on the actual word shown in blue (snowman, etc.).
I'm having a problem enlarging the templates, does anyone have any suggestions! I hate to have to go to one of those office supply places everytime I need an enlargement..... Thanks...

Love love love! Such a cute idea, and I'm excited to do more than just winter scenes and get my creative juices flowing. So simple and easy, but the finished product is so classy. Her children's portraits are beautiful, I just love her style and the colors she uses!

You can even use color books to get your simple lines for your pictures as well as just photocopy something you like then use a dark marker to designate the lines for cuting.
Where can I find templates for paper landscapes that are not winter themes? I am in Florida and would love to do this great craft.

I have trouble enlarging on my own home printer as well. I go to the local office supply store - they charge 10 cents for an enlargement - well worth the effort.
The easiest method is to photocopy it. All you need to do is go to a business coping centre and ask them to do it for you. It will cost you a couple of bucks though
I wanted to try this with my granddaughter but, I can not get 200% enlargement. I cant get it on my computer. It always comes back to 8 x 11. Any one get it right?
