i use an airbake and the cookies come out perfect. They are incredibly flavorful compared to those that come in Chinese take-out. Being able to insert your own message is so much fun. I have used twice for a wedding shower favor placed in a clear bag with ribbon. with experience, these cookies are a snap to make. Try 'em!
These are so easy! I just made them for my daughters Chinese New Year celabration and they are perfect! I would recomend these to anyone! Oh yeah, they taste great too:)
The cookies tasted good and the edges were crispy but the middle didnt seem to get that hard and was more cake like, could i be doing anything wrong?
how far in advance can these be made, if i make them on a monday will they be good on a saturday?
Total Disaster.
Loving to bake, I thought these would be great for a shower gift, dipped in chocolate with baby-blue sprinkles. After the first recipe failed, I made another and still had no success. I have a convection oven and used the sheets that have a layer of air so maybe that contributed to the failure. They didn't brown and still retain the softness in order to fold. I was able to fold a few but only once before they cracked.
One good thing was the flavor!
These cookies were great! I was amazed that I was able to make them as I am not usually very good at things like this. I found that the baking time was too long for my oven; I ended up baking them about 4-5 minutes each. Also, when I make them again I will wear gloves of some sort as my fingers are burning! All in all though turned out well and lots of fun.
These are so much fun to make. They turned out great. My fingers are a little tender now from the heat, but it's all worth it. They taste better than the ones at the resterants. Make sure to cook them all the way or they will get stuck on the fortune paper.
This is really the perfect tuile/fortune cookie recipe. It's super simple and turns out beautiful and delicious cookies every time. I make them each year at New Year's as my tradition.
this was easy but keep on an eye on the cookies so they don't burn
