The Old Cuban

  • 1 1/2 ounces Cruzan single barrel estate rum
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 pint simple syrup
  • 6 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 2 ounces Champagne


  1. Muddle mint with lime juice and simple syrup in a mixing glass. Add rum and bitters and shake over ice. Strain into a cocktail glass or coupe and top with Champagne.
