Martha first discovered 1stdibs.com, an online marketplace for high-end furniture, jewelry, and couture, when her daughter, Alexis, purchased some furniture pieces (including a travertine-top coffee table, black leather chairs, and a bar cart) for her new home.
Each week, about 2,000 items from major cities in America, England, and France are posted to this trend-setting source. Many of the pieces originate from the Marche aux Puces, a Parisian flea market that is a favorite stomping ground for 1st Dibs founder Michael Bruno.
